End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal contract between you (“User”) and the publisher of AFKSecurity (“Publisher”). By installing, running, or using AFKSecurity, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

1. License grant

AFKSecurity is licensed, not sold.

The Publisher grants you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to:

• install and use AFKSecurity on the number of devices permitted by your license;
• receive automatic updates (application updates and essential data updates). This update mechanism is enabled by default and is required for normal operation.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or attempt to derive source code except where permitted by law.

2. Nature of the software

AFKSecurity is a complementary protection agent based on:

• behavioral analysis,
• proactive anti‑ransomware mechanisms,
• a local AI model,
• a dynamic YARA engine.

AFKSecurity is not a certified antivirus and does not guarantee detection of all threats.

3. Privacy and data

• No personal data is intentionally collected by default.
• No user files are uploaded to the Publisher by default.
• The software connects only to download essential updates required for operation. This update mechanism is enabled by default.

4. Updates (required, enabled by default)

AFKSecurity may automatically:

• check for and download a newer application version;
• download essential data updates (models, rules, heuristics, reputation data);
• apply updates as part of normal operation.

Updates are an integral part of the software and are required for correct operation. If updates are blocked, AFKSecurity may not operate correctly or may provide reduced protection.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

• bypass internal security mechanisms;
• redistribute AFKSecurity without written authorization;
• use AFKSecurity for malicious activity or unlawful purposes;
• use AFKSecurity to develop or facilitate offensive tooling.

6. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability

AFKSecurity is provided “AS IS”, without any express or implied warranty.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Publisher is not liable for:

• data loss,
• direct or indirect damages,
• issues caused by incorrect user configuration,
• consequences of improper use of the software.

7. Termination

This license terminates automatically:

• if you breach this Agreement; or
• if you uninstall AFKSecurity.

8. Third‑party components

Third‑party attributions and notices are available on the Third‑party notices page and/or bundled in the software distribution.

9. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by Belgian law, with competent courts at the Publisher’s domicile.
