AFKSecurity is designed to operate locally on your device. It does not collect, sell, or share personal data. The software connects only to download essential updates required for operation.

AFKSecurity automatically checks for and downloads essential data updates required for the software to function (for example: rules, models, reputation/heuristic data). This update mechanism is enabled by default and is necessary for normal operation.
The update mechanism is not used for advertising, profiling, or cross‑site/app tracking.
When checking/downloading updates, our update server (and/or our hosting/CDN provider) may receive and process limited technical information, such as:
Retention: technical logs are retained for 14 days for security, abuse prevention, and reliability troubleshooting, unless longer retention is required for security investigations or legal obligations.
Quarantined files remain on your device and are not uploaded to the publisher by default.

Like most websites, the hosting provider may process basic server logs (e.g., IP address, user‑agent, timestamps) for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention. Retention is 14 days.
Update packages and downloads can be verified via SHA‑256 (integrity) and a VirusTotal link (reputation), as provided on the website and/or inside the application.
