Privacy Policy — AFKSecurity

Summary

AFKSecurity is designed to operate locally on your device. It does not collect, sell, or share personal data. The software connects only to download essential updates required for operation.

1. Personal data

AFKSecurity does not intentionally collect any of the following:

• name, email address, physical address, account identifiers;
• personal files (documents, photos, videos);
• browsing history;
• precise location or biometric data.

2. Local processing (on your device)

AFKSecurity may process locally (without transmission) technical indicators such as:

• executable signatures (hash, entropy, technical metadata);
• suspicious behavior patterns (file creation/modification/access);
• system operations associated with malware activity;
• YARA rules and local AI models.

3. Automatic updates (required for operation)

AFKSecurity automatically checks for and downloads essential data updates required for the software to function (for example: rules, models, reputation/heuristic data). This update mechanism is enabled by default and is necessary for normal operation.

The update mechanism is not used for advertising, profiling, or cross‑site/app tracking.

4. Technical connection logs (update server / hosting)

When checking/downloading updates, our update server (and/or our hosting/CDN provider) may receive and process limited technical information, such as:

• IP address and timestamp of the request
• requested file(s) and response status (e.g., success/error)
• basic client/network headers provided automatically by your system (e.g., user agent)
• optionally: current app version / update channel (only if your build sends it)

Retention: technical logs are retained for 14 days for security, abuse prevention, and reliability troubleshooting, unless longer retention is required for security investigations or legal obligations.

5. Quarantine

Quarantined files remain on your device and are not uploaded to the publisher by default.

6. Website and cookies

The website afksecurity.online does not use advertising or tracking cookies. See the Cookies page for details.

Like most websites, the hosting provider may process basic server logs (e.g., IP address, user‑agent, timestamps) for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention. Retention is 14 days.

7. Integrity and transparency

Update packages and downloads can be verified via SHA‑256 (integrity) and a VirusTotal link (reputation), as provided on the website and/or inside the application.
