External lists / rules / feeds

Some external lists/rules (YARA, blocklists, IOC feeds) may come from third parties.
Optional automatic updates for external sources are disabled by default. Enable them in the application UI only if you accept the licenses/terms of the configured sources.

Core updates (required)

AFKSecurity automatically downloads essential data updates required for operation (rules/models/lists). These updates are delivered by AFKSecurity’s update infrastructure.

Bundled YARA rules (licenses)

Some YARA rules are shipped with AFKSecurity to provide a minimal detection baseline after installation. Related licenses and notices are available locally in:

User‑added rules

Users can add their own YARA rules (manually or via external links). These rules are not distributed by AFKSecurity and remain the user’s responsibility (license compliance, usage rights, legal compliance).

IP database (DB‑IP Lite)

This product may include the DB‑IP Lite database (.mmdb format), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
